Everywhere you look, there are “must-have” miracle supplements and functional ingredient products with hefty price tags. It is so easy to think that we cannot get these nutrients from anywhere else and that can make you think that being healthy and feeling good is only for people with big wallets.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned: real health often comes from the simplest, everyday habits. And those habits don’t have to break the bank budget.

My Mission With Twisted Kombucha

When I started Twisted Kombucha, I wanted to make wellness feel accessible, not exclusive. I wasn’t interested in fancy marketing buzzwords or complicated ingredient lists. I’ve never been that person to get caught up in a trend. However while I was researching kombucha it was relatively still very small scale and hardly popular like it is today!  That’s why I wanted to create something that was rooted in science, made with integrity, and genuinely good for your gut. And it was something that was so accessible that I could make it at home while running a super busy workload. 

Every bottle of Twisted Kombucha is crafted through traditional fermentation with just three simple ingredients: tea, sugar, and a living culture known as a SCOBY. We never take shortcuts — that means no added probiotic powders, no pasteurisation, no gimmicks.

Instead, we allow the brew to ferment slowly and naturally. This process creates a rich profile of live probiotics, vitamins, antioxidants, and beneficial organic acids. As the bacteria and yeast metabolise the sugar, the result is a drink that’s naturally low in sugar — only around 3.5 g per 100 ml.

One of the most powerful by-products of this fermentation is acetic acid. Beyond giving kombucha its refreshing tang, acetic acid is linked to improved blood sugar control.
